Family Ministry
At The Gathering Church we are passionate about families growing in faith together.  Our ministries are built to enhance the life of faith in families while providing a larger church family to lean on for support and resources. Here are some of the ways we support our families:

Nursery

We offer a nursery for infants up to four-years old staffed by two childcare workers who have been background checked and trained through MinistrySafe. It is part of the culture of our church that all children return to the service before Communion so that all can receive the bread and wine or blessings together as a family.

GatheringYouth

GatheringYouth is for students from 5th through 12th grade. They meet on the first and third Sundays after our Sunday Worship Gathering to grow closer to Jesus and to one another.

Worship

All children are welcome to stay in the service with their families. For children under four-years old who need some room to wiggle we have a quiet play-space in the back of the worship area. For older children or teens we have activity bags meant to help with focus and participation in the service.

House Church

Our house churches host a lot of children! We offer a gathering for children with crafts and activities during the adult Bible study. In 2023 we are working through The Biggest Story Bible Storybook.

GatheringKids

GatheringKids is an opportunity for children 5-years through 5th grade that happens during the sermon on the first and third Sundays of the month. This is a time for kids to interact with the truths of the Bible and receive tools to bring home to continue their discipleship.
The Gathering Church is committed to the safety of our children, youth, and adults of our community. All staff and volunteers have been background checked and participate in child abuse prevention training through MinistrySafe every two years. Our policies are not just on paper; they are actively practiced every time our community gathers for fellowship and worship. Learn more about MinistrySafe here.
